BUST IT! with the guild’s Sea Glass Knit-A-Long for a fanciful foray into color and texture. We’ve chosen the Sea Glass pattern for its vibrant colors and stash-busting benefits. To make the event more exciting, local knitter Jourdan Rivas will showcase her Sea Glass sweaters and share her process.
You can choose from five projects using the Sea Glass technique. The Cowl and Hat are great starting points, but there are more adventurous options too. The hat pattern is currently free with a Wool and Pine newsletter signup and is included with the Sweater or Tee patterns.
If you lack stash yarn, donated yarn in various weights from fingering to worsted will be available at this and future meetings. Before attending, review your stash and consider colors you might use. A photo of your stash can help you choose additional colors from our collection. Alternative options for selecting yarn colors will also be provided.
As we progress with the Sea Glass projects, you can share yarn you don’t need, which may be perfect for another knitter. Sharing is another great way to stash bust!
We’ll share teaser videos on the process and color combinations. Purchasing the pattern grants unlimited access to these and other technique videos (the free hat pattern includes limited videos).
Let’s make this Knit-A-Long a fun, collaborative event!
