Meetings
There are two meetings each month: a day meeting and a night meeting. Many members attend both meetings, but it is fine to just attend one. The programs are usually the same but the meetings will vary depending on the mix of the attendees and sharing. For those who are interested in joining, you may attend two meetings for free. The Night meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday evening of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church 2500 Soquel Ave in Santa Cruz.
The Fireside room, where we meet, is located at the back of the church. Turn into the parking lot and proceed to the back; there is an alcove on the right. The Fireside Room is on your left as you enter the door.
The Day meeting is on the 3rd Thursday morning of the month from 10:00 to12:00 except in December. The Day meeting is also at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church 2500 Soquel Ave in Santa Cruz.
Our Annual Business Meeting is held in December for both the day and night members as part of our holiday party. In the month of December there is no day meeting.
Programs
Each month there is a program on a knitting topic presented by a speaker knowledgeable in the area. Each month’s program is noted in an email to members and announced on our Ravelry group page so people can plan ahead and do any prep if it is required. Many of our presenters are members with a tip to show, a technique they favor, or a project that others would be interested in learning.
Show and Share
A unique part of every meeting is the opportunity to show and share what you have created and to see what others have been working on. It is an opportunity to ask questions, show off, be inspired, share experiences, projects, challenges and new knitting related travel opportunities, items and shops.
