We are very pleased that our May Program speaker will be Allison Korleski, who started the popular podcast called Fiber Nation, based in Colorado at Interweave. Fiber Nation is a knitting podcast presenting tales of textiles, craft, and culture. Allison’s interesting background ranges from interdisciplinary studies to book buying to fiber arts and is a self-taught knitter. She fell into podcasting because she couldn’t find the kind of podcast she wanted to listen to: “Here is why this stuff matters, and it’s really interesting even if you don’t knit.”

Join us at our May Meeting to hear more about Allison and hear tales of podcasting behind the scenes. I suggest that you listen to at least one podcast of Fiber Nation before the program.  Also, if you have any ideas for future Fiber Nation podcast ideas, be prepared to let us know.

If you are completely enthralled by any of the podcasts, also consider the upcoming Fiber Nation Night, Wednesday, May 5 at 4:00 Pacific Time. You must register to attend this event only . (This event is a Zoom event webinar. Watch and listen only.)

The Fiber Nation program was suggested by and the initial contact was made by member Jocelyn Mel.
