International Knitting: Kaffe Fasset – England/California
Have you ever seen knitting designs in wild colors and wondered about the inspiration for those? Did you ever wonder if those designs are available and wish that you could knit something like that, if nothing more than a cowl or a pillow? Would you be surprised to know that the designs were first created by a “local boy” from Big Sur and new, current designs and yarns are available?
Welcome to the world of painterly knitting using intarsia.
In our January 2022 meeting, we present excerpts of the recent interview of Kaffe Fasset by Fruity Knitting. Anyone interested in colorwork and the history of design will enjoy this presentation. It covers the last six decades of a legend, who just happens to be a local legend, in painting, knitting, needlework and quilting. (Six decades? That means the 1960’s! Far out.)
Join us for an exciting time!
