Our program for October is Knitting Hats for Sailors. This amazing charity group distributes over 1000 hats a year to Sailors in the US Navy and Coast Guard one ship at a time. Amazingly, the drop off point for this world-wide project is in Aptos! Is that convenient or what!

Sandra Berglund will be our speaker and will tell us how the program was started, what yarns to use, suggest patterns, give us deadlines and supply lots of other pertinent information.

We may already knit hats for other organizations, but here’s one more headquartered locally to add to our charity hat grab bag.
